A friend who has small children just messaged me about her husband buying a whole series of books for their children to start gaming with some day. Got me to wondering about gaming. i started gaming when i was 13, many ages ago with Dungeons & Dragons, the basic edition in a box. Since then i have played many different games over the years

i have played d&d (dont remember which edition), tmnt, rifts, heroclix, and mtg. i have also played warhammer 40k dark crusade, and am interested in learning the tabletop version, which should be easy as my roommmate has enough crap for 3 good sized armies, wherein 2 would be strictly eldar.

All of the games I've played have been old World of Darkness, though I would love to play the new World of Darkness stuff at some point, especially Vampire: the Requiem and/or Changeling: the Lost.

Jail is a good place to game. Plenty of time on your hands, ya know? That is, until the guards take away your spinners (no dice allowed) because they think they're gambling materials, and ban your books because they think you're going to start a cult. :-(
