my speakers would be so much cooler if, instead of picking up random radio stations and playing that super quietly (but audibly) underneath my own music... i could actually control the damn signal and amp it up.

but alas, the world is imperfect.

kind of the way my bed ended up along the windows. oh well...

You could get an fm transmitter (one of those $15 "play your ipod in your car" things) and play your own music into your speakers!

Very faintly. With horrible quality. At the same time your music is already playing, normally. :-)

If you really care about sound quality and/or there really is a lot of interference in the air, look into getting a power conditioner for your equipment and shielded speaker cables. Your electronics will be happier with the electricity that you feed them, too. Where do you live this year? call sometime. or better, write. :P
