So I was on 'the' 5 south to Anaheim today, traffic had just started to clear up and we were all cruising about 60 or so. So no shit, there I was, floating some miles downstream of the launch point at the bridge where highway 49 crosses the Yuba River. Ahead, Dana floated on an inflatable tube, carefully steering herself to the safest passage through the rapids ahead. The trip to Bullard's Bar will certainly live in my mind as a highlight this year. It ended up being a smaller trip, with sites 6, 7, and 8 in Dark Day campgrounds reserved.
