So it's my second weekend here in Montebello, and I realized I haven't really mentioned much about where I've gone or wtf it is that I do to pass my time here. Long story short, a lot of job hunting, a bit of biking around doing errands and getting excercise and sun, and diving and other good stuff on weekends.

My next project is getting my master bedroom situated into the cave i can hide in when i dont want to deal with people. I need to get my other 360 replaced and stuff and get some newer furniture etc. But how much was that HD switch for the monitor. I didnt realize they can put out 720, thats better than 480p my small tv puts out.

There's a bunch of DVI to HDMI adaptor at Fry's. I have a cable that plugs into the DVI output on my vdeo card, and has an HDMI end to plug into the port on the switch. I also have a DVI to HDMI adaptor on the monitor so it's all routed with HDMI cables - I guess DVI and HDMI are the same signal, minus the sound. The switch you can find at Fry's too and is billed as a PS3 accessory (find it in the PS3 aisle) but its a universal HDMI switch - cost 50 bucks.
Yeah the monitor will do 720P. Looks good to me. You can force it to to 1080P but the image ends up stretched vertically sort of. It's only like 1050 pixels wide so I think it's just short of being able to do 1080, though some newer monitors are designed specifically to do 16:9 1080P for TV/Games (PISS!).
