Stick Theater Presents: The Third Crusade!

Apr 12, 2010 06:12

The Crusades! Adventure! Romance! Plate armor in climatically inappropriate regions! Sacking, attempted sacking, conspiracy to sack, and jaywalking! It's like we were the Vikings, only afterwards we were too embarrassed to look anybody in the eye.

If you wrote Third Crusade fic I would die and then I would come back from the dead to fangirl you as a zombie.

So like, do your own risk assessment, there.

History is the best soap opera created by the hand of mankind.
And you're paying one of the best hommage to it.

Oh God, seriously, this is why I always start ffff-ing and hand-flapping and gibbering at people who say that history is boring. History isn't boring! Nothing is more entertaining than history! It's just a matter of how you look at it. XD

ffffyeah!

Crusades, yes. All the awesome sensors in my head just overloaded and fizzed out, and it was great. I'm now waiting eagerly for someone in fandom to write this Richard-Philip incident. It must happen. Actually, just anything here. It's all brilliant.

No more ideas from me, just keep doing these for the love of heaven.

God, while I'm drawing these, I'm all "FFFF THESE TAKE SO LONG FFFFFF WHY DO I DRAW THESE FUCKING THINGS," but then as soon as I'm done it's like "Heh, that's actually kind of funny." So I'm sure I'll do more, as soon as I think of another historical episode so jam-packed with mockable fail.

I'm starting to believe I learn more from you than any of my social studies teachers.

But that aside, I love this

This post contains by far the most accurate and thoroughly-researched depiction of Saladin I have ever been privileged to encounter. It additionally now contains several small but important sections of my heart.

HAHAHAHA FREDERICK I YOU SUCKER--I mean, history is very serious.

I am a serious historical person who takes history very seriously at all times, if you were not aware.
