He's pushed it all aside for now in favor of working on something he maybe can do something about.
Sam's not paying as much attention to the room as he should be. He's hunched over his laptop instead, reading something on the screen.

Mac hesitates, leaning back against the bar, but only for half a second before she pushes away and heads toward Sam.
"Hey."
Her hands stay firmly stuffed in her pockets.

"Mac! ... um, hey."
An awkward pause, and then, all in a rush,
"It's, um. It's really good to see you."

She even cracks a quick, tiny smile to go with that. "Um, anything I'm interrupting...?"
Mac pulls out one hand long enough to gesture toward the laptop.
