Momofuku Ando, the inventor of instant noodles, or, as they are more commonly known, Ramen, died on Friday evening. All college students should hold a moment of silence in his honor. Without him, at various times in our lives, many of us would not eat.

Tomorrow night, after work, and a long day at work it will be, I will be heading to Tulsa for the appropriate sort of holiday festivities, followed by as much visiting of friends as I can get in. Well, my original plan to go eat India food tomorrow evening has been cancelled, due to the guy to whom we were supposed to be introducing the restaurant not having enough money to make it. I took my data structures final at 3:30 today. At 5:15 I got an email reporting my grade. Damn, I've never received grade feedback that quickly. Before the test I went by my calculus teacher's office to pick up the test that I bombed yesterday and learn exactly how well I need to do in order to make an A in the class. They cancelled classes today. I suppose I normally would be pleased about this, but not today. I stayed at school all night, sleeping on a couch in the student union, all because I knew that if I went home last night, I wouldn't be able to make it back up for classes today. This was a losing weekend for my teams. Arkansas lost to LSU and OSU lost to OU, but both teams played a good game and it wasn't a shameful loss. Besides, despite this weekends losses, the regular season's were phenomenal, and at least OSU was able to pull off a victory against their long-time rival Michigan.

On Saturday night, as I was driving home, my car died. It just got really hot, began making a clacking noise, which I took to be bad, and then just shut down. We left it on the side of the road to cool off, and we were able to get it back to the house in the morning; it had died only about a mile or two from home.
