I don't know the difference between BBC 1, 2, 4, or whatever, but your explanation helps; thank you. I'm like everyone else; I'm miffed that I have to wait an additional four months for the series, but hey. Now that you've explained it, I'm happy for them, too.

As for the move to BBC2, I'm an American, so I don't really know what that means. As long as they don't change it (I don't think the producers and Stephen would let that happen, hopefully), then it doesn't matter. I'm not even worrying about that now, since the F-series already's been shot.
I really hope someone uploads the Stephen Fry in America somewhere; it sounds great. And Stephen's on Buzzcocks soon! Let's be upbeat, people!

Darling, you mean the move to BBC1. Dramas/Quiz Shows etc. on BBC2 tend to be more aimed at a smaller audience, an audience that prefers/welcomes a more intelligent/specialistic approach. Weeks before on BBC2 there was My Zinc Bed, A Number. HBO's Rome was broadcast on BBC2. BBC2 can be meatier...
...than BBC1, which mainly broadcasts popularist programmes. Programmes aimed at those who'll settle for soap operas, documentaries about policing and Hollywood films. BBC1 is more a for the majority people channel.
