I think I must be alone in finding this episode quite boring - I'm not really interested in science that much at all, so thats probably why, but I found it had too much science and not enough comedy. Ross Noble is usually great but I don't think he got enough chance to say as much as he usually did. Brian Cox talked about the science too much without giving the others an opportunity to make it funny, although Ross Noble did manage it a bit. I prefer it when all the guests are generally intelligent, which is what normally happens, rather than one guest being more knowledgeable about a subject than the others, because that means they kind of tend to take over i think.
I like this use of this comm to talk about the episodes after they've been on, its good to see what other people thought of it! :)
I lament the fact this community's been here for six years without an episode review, and that I've been watching it for three or four before I bothered to try an episode post. Almost wish we could go back and review old episodes.
Maybe when this series is over, and we're all stuck with nothing to watch, we could pick an episode a week and chat about it. I'm really loving these posts. :)
I thoroughly enjoyed this episode. Ross Noble is always lovely. I'm not usually a Sue Perkins fan, but I liked her this time round. I haven't watched Brian Cox much before, but I was completely charmed - I agree with everyone who has said that he was very bright without being over the top, and that he interacted so well with the other guests.
This was such a nice episode in contrast with last week's ventriloquism fiasco - it's good to see QI full of truly interesting facts again. :)
