That was such a SERIOUSLY GREAT finale. I totally didn't get that Elena was Katherine pretty much until John said it- that's right, some tiny part of my brain was like "HOLY SHIT ELENA GOT SOME RAGE! SHE'LL CUT A BITCH!"

It. Was. Awesome.

HEE! Well, I think Elena's got some rage potential, and I think John is kind of nutjob, and even the cutting off of the finger, I might've been able to reconcile that. But damn, mortally stab your uncle/dad? EEEEK!

Also, John and Isobel are both nuts. I am SO not happy they're Elena's real parents, even as much as I loved Sark on Alias. They're just so crazy dysfunctional.

I also did not catch on to it being Katherine till after she cut off John's finger, even though I did realize her reaction to Jenna catching her with Damon was not at all right. I just wasn't expecting it at all.

That whole ending was just fabulous, no matter when the viewer figured out something was wrong. Such a neat set of twists!

The 1st inclination of katherine happened when she didn't pull away from the kiss, and now that I rewatch it, Damon knew as soon as she pulled away. WTF was Damon thinking? Or maybe he'll come in and get Elena away before she walks into the dead uncle thing.

My second burst of this ain't right was when she suddenly was in the kitchen without a sound, but when she walked, she made a sound.

The third inkling that not everything was right in Whoville was when she was attempting to be nice to her "uncle"... then the knife cut threw his fingers like butter and I started to laugh that I ignored my conspiracy laddened mind for the past four minutes.
