So yesterday was the 43rd anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassination, and the We Are One event in Madison was an early-evening rally that drew thousands, possibly into five figures. It can all go sour in a moment, but the thousands of peeps re-occupying the Capitol tonight (including both Madison mayoral candidates) are my fucking heroes. Too much love to be smashed by all the dirty tricks.

Had taken pictures from the Capitol Square Saturday, Monday, and Tuesday, and had kept putting off updating about the situation, but it appears all hell has broken loose -- the Legislature has broken off the collective bargaining language from the rest of the budget repair bill, to avoid the 3/5 quorum requirement, and have rammed same through ( Read more... )
