Oh that's so perfect! So perfect! (I am now jealous that I didn't name Fishsticks Shadow instead because 'where's Johnny's Shadow' is SUCH a great detail)

I love all the great little details you have in the whole fic. It really helps to cement it and make it very real.

Cheers! I really liked the name Shadow, not only because it fit the character so well and tied in with John and Sherlock being each others' "shadows", I also wanted a "sh" name that gave a hint of the connection to Sherlock. So glad you enjoyed it!

(I'm really glad you had Harry as the main character in Fishsticks, too; otherwise I might never have thought of having her be the hero here. Many thanks for the inspiration!)

Hee! Sherlock is very much like a cat. I can see him as a cat's reincarnation.

Great photo, btw.

Sherlock is a cat in disguise. I expect this fact to become canon any minute now.

Thanks! I got extremely lucky in finding a sleek, angular black cat (whose own shadow just happened to match baby!Martin's in the base photo) on the very first page of my image search.

Thanks! I didn't realise until about halfway through writing this that the cat reincarnation premise was just a baseline from which my muse wanted explore John's childhood and family, so I'm very glad you enjoyed that particular aspect. :)

This made me so sad. T^T I imagined losing my cat and just... bawwwwwww. Other than that, it was adorable! Sherlock is cat personified. :)
