Last night as I was waiting for my ride after work, some co-workers and I were enjoying the near constant lightning going on ahead. Many of us were convinced it would be all sound and fury with very little action while expressing hopes that the sky would truly open up. I think it's safe to say that we got our wish. Alright, so a big part of my job is giving instructions. I always give them step by step, allowing time between each step before giving the next; in fact, I always wait for them to make some sort of confirmation that they've completed the step such as "ok". Practice was canceled last night due to Teej and Megan's need to clean before the arrival of parents, so I decided to tag along with John to trivia night at Fibber McGee's (Irishy Pub type place). It was a really rad time, even though I could only have 2 pints of Boddington's for the sake of my wallet.

I really believe that the main thing holding me (and many others) back from giving linux a shot are the users themselves. At least once a month at work I get a call from some uppity know-it-all trying to goad me into an argument about our installation site only working on IE or Safari (mac flavor only), which makes sense as those are the native ( Read more... )

I finally worked out for the first time in over a month last night. I can't believe how out of shape I got. My legs were like jelly after only half an hour. I really need to recommit to doing it ever other day if I wanna keep up with the whole weight loss thing.
