Just so that nobody gets confused, this is the first chapter of Vol 14 but as I mentioned quite some time ago, the chapters in MoB are numbered according to the story arcs, so this is labeled as chapter 9 because we're still in the Kousen arc

Thanks for the translation. I find myself hating Kenshin more and more with every new chapter and I feel sorry for Nagahide getting put in the middle. Speaking of Nagahide this line, no matter what I want to continue on this earth, casts an interesting light on him. From everyone else reincarntion seems to considered more desirable or rather perhaps more "proper" than possession and here we have Nagahide saying "Hell no, I'm sticking around. He seems to be something of a rebel or iconoclast in regards to the other Yashashuu.

I think Nagahide has quite a strong sense of justice and responsibility underneath that rebellious nature. By sticking around he can actually do more in that way, like police the onshou and vengeful spirits. Seems like he can't really let go of this task after having been entrusted with it (Kagetora probably influenced him to a certain extent ^^)

thanks for the translation, i felt bad for kotarou being scolded by ayako but i can understand where ayako coming from...kotarou did act like a robot, he hides his feeling well...btw what is the Ken En? i don't remember reading that before...:)

I don't really remember when the Ken En were first introduced (Vol 9 or 10 maybe....) IIRC they're a group of onshou who fall under Kagetora's command.
