Pft, for the time and money involved in doing it solo, you should (and I apologize for saying this) take the Greyhound. Or maybe Amtrak. Although that does leave you truck-less for that time.

I presume that means the spa trip is up in the air, at least for you...

Amtrack is fun, but slow. Greyhound is uncomfortable, and I might rather pay the extra, just to be able to sleep in my cumfy truck on the way out. . .

I don't think it's very cost-effective to drive. You wouldn't need your truck out here unless you're stopping other places on the way. I *do* have a car. I don't want this to feel like some kind of obligatory chore either. You shoud call me.
