so the not-so-well-kept secret is that law school sort of sucks. i mean, there are parts i really like. contracts class is actually genuinely fascinating, and we spent a whole day on the theory of promises, with no case law at all, which left many of my classmates totally irate. i, however, really liked it and immediately went out and ordered

LAW SCHOOL SUCKS.

Seriously. I'd tell you it gets better, except I'm on Day Two here, and it already seems like no end of suckdom to me.

I can't believe I made friends before YOU did. I have one friend. Who's a psychopath and writes poetry and used to talk to high schoolers about condoms and vaginas. But still! One friend!

I haven't been able to sleep for a week so it's just a matter of time before I have a psychotic break and get carted off back to Vancouver.

i'm in the minority, it seems, but it's not so bad. and 1L is quite a thing to have been through, once it's over. it's long and busy and somewhat structured to induce a breakdown. but it's also structured to push limits, and that's never bad. i certainly had embarrassing times, awkward times, stressful times, and disappointments. but i also realized that i could do things i'd never thought i could. and property is just awesome. i hate civ pro
