Friday the 13th started with the coffee-maker not working.

It has not gotten much better since.

Final Dewce update. We took her to the vet this afternoon, and helped her over the Rainbow Bridge. She's buried in a T-shirt that she often slept in, along with her favorite toys, next to her cage-mate who passed on 9 days shy of a year ago. It was ten days short of a year ago that I last had to endure that most awful vigil, of an aged pet obviously in their last days. I've been rather surprised that Dewce has made it through the past few, but I will be utterly shocked if she survives the night. GO SHOCK!!!

add another trophy to the case at the Palace.

I'm covered in chicken-flavored wood smoke, and reeking of garlic, but I am one happy camper tonight. Had a bright idea at the last minute of making dinner, and the results were beyond wonderful.

In other news, the QG has taken up fishing, during her vacation. I got her a Rapala filet knife as a token of "you go, girl"

Dusty is obviously feeling all better now. He's been up on top of the cage again, for the first time since his fit in October. Found him and Dewce in the cutest pose a couple days back.
