The longest weekend ever

Thursday was the Avett Brothers concert in Huntington, WV. A-freaking-mazing, per usual. I am so in love with these guys, it's not even funny. Their opening act was Nicole Atkins and the Black Sea. They were really great, too. Here's a song of Nicole Atkins that Seth Avett sings. beautiful.

Glad the concert was fun, but that stinks about your sister. I'm sorry that you and your sister are having problems. Weren't they in Ecuador or some place in South America last time we talked? Have they come back to stay? I hope things eventually work out with your sister, but it sounds like she needs to grow up first. :(

thanks. They were in Ecuador from April til a couple of weeks ago. I don't think things will get better, though. I have learned to expect the worst from her.

wow. wow. i can't believe her husbands said those things to you?! what the hell. what happened to being kind to one's in-laws? what happened to being respectful? why do you think your mom is taking amanda's side or at least is angry you made waves? i am so sorry annie. so sorry. :(.

He's an asshole, lisa, that's the only explanation I can come up with. I've not really talked to my mom since then other than to tell her to not come to me when she's angry at my sister. I don't know what else to do but remove myself as much as possible from the situation, and I don't think she understand or appreciated what I'm doing. My dad's been really sympathetic, but it's just a mess. Thanks for the support, I really appreciate it.
