Today is Matthew's 9th birthday ... yes he's 9 already!! We're having his birthday this weekend at the park by our house. We had to move it because by the time you have Matt's family, my family, some of Matthew's mom's family and friends, it gets a little crowded. Matt got me sick ... it's not too bad, but it's a stuffy nose and it's very irritating. I've been taking Day Quill ... I will be better by Thursday night when we go get my sister from the airport!! That's right ... in exactly one week football practice starts and the summer will officially come to an end for my family. Since Matthew made baseball allstars this year we didn't get a nice break between the sports ... instead we'll only have about 5 days in between. Tonight starts the boys last tournament in Liberty. I'm at work and my boss's son came running into the building yelling that their 3 dogs ate their older dog. My boss ran down to his house (only a block away) and sure enough his 3 younger dogs (2 female and 1 male) had ripped out the older female dog's neck and then from there they started eating her all the way down her side. We have so many things going on in our house this week. First we've had a problem with our "new roof" for a year now. The whole roof was replaced 2 years ago and last year it started leaking around the chimney. We called the guy out when the upstairs hallway paint first started to bubble up and crack. Life has been crazy. I've been averaging 2 cakes a week which is nice to know that people are thinking of me. Matt bought all the supplies for our new floating floor for the kitchen and dining room. This weekend was kind of crappy. It started out good ... Friday it stormed, so Matthew's game was canceled and I was able to start baking my cakes early. I got them all baked and made some icing. I attempted to make a fondant fairy for my friend's cake, but it was not cooperating.
