I'm Going to Be On The Radio!

Aug 12, 2009 20:26

Anybody want to hear the sound of my awkward voice on the radio (I make it sound so appealing don't I)? Well tonight you can! In about thirty minutes, I'll be guesting on my friends show Talk Nerdy To Me (it's on at 9pm EST by the way). The name kind of says it all. There's a lot of nerdcore played and general geekery discussed. You can here it ( Read more... )

LMAO! Seriously? That's so cool. Thanks; you still listening or did the seven minutes of Dragonforce drive you away? Lol, it's college radio at its best!

Lol, I would just like to apologize for the last 40 minutes turning into jokes about my being black. Hopefully it didn't offend, but now I'm being really paranoid that it did. I kind of have a weird sense of humor about the whole thing though, so I hoped it was more that than maybe offensive (which I'm a little worried about now). Anywho, thanks for listening anyway!

Yes, that was in fact the right thing. Don't ask me how, but the night eventually derided into jokes about having a black person in the room (me) and bad rap. Soz about that. : P

It's not loading up for me right now- will be saved on the college website for people to listen to later? That would be splendid, thanks :)

My major at uni is journalism and I've done a almost a year of radio interviews. It's AWESOME and so much fun, but with live radio you have to be SO careful it's insane. At least with recorded you can edit 90% of the content no problem. But most people I've found who listen to community radio are very laid back with a great sense of humour, and don't mind when th talent go off on a tangent (I think when I start doing radio for an actual job, all the joy and fun will be sucked straight out of it, sadly.)

How surreal is it, though, to hear your voice on the radio? I spent the first few times going, fuck this noise, I do not sound like that

Normally it's recorded but we didn't get to set it up in time for last night which might actually have been a good thing. : P

I'll hopefully be back on again in the near future, so there will be more chances to hear my awkwardness. I was just so proud that I only cussed once (damn). Lol, it's the little victories.

Lolz! I love how the shortest Dragonforce song is probably about 7 minutes. They just keep going and going and going. Love it!
