I'm writing from the Quality Inn in Morgantown, WV. Beyond some slightly dirty pillowcases, things look okay. No bedbugs to be seen. We had a long drive, which we filled with iPod nonsense and silly games. Now pizza and beer!!

Rehearsals have been going really well, and we're all excited to head out on Saturday! First stop, Ashland, Kentucky! We'll be staying in West Virginia though. Woot. :)

After a difficult day yesterday, I came in today resolved to have a positive attitude. We had a great day. We worked the end of the show and then did a run, and our director was really happy with us. After notes, we left two hours early. Woot! And I just found out we're going to Florida! Yayyy and hopefully we'll be able to stop off at Disney ( Read more... )

Things are improving a lot - our director is largely absent, which calms us all down and allows us to play a lot more. I'm fitted for my costumes and we start rehearsals Saturday! I hope my cast is nice.

Signing my contract and getting my script and rehearsal schedule on Monday! Woohoo!

It's been awhile. I've decided to start this up again as I've been cast in the title role in Theatreworks' fall tour of Charlotte's Web! I'm really excited, as this is my first professional job and the first time I've ever been paid to act (not counting my friend's dad's chamber opera). A good way to win points with your girlfriend: look up the address of the theatre where her show is playing and send red roses there so that they arrive when the entire cast and crew is gathered around and she can show them off.
