Yesterday i finished Venus in Furs. i had been taking it in small doses every day to enjoy it and think about every sentence and their true effect. i loved it.

that Manet painting is amazing. its such a mockery of art in general. nothing has any placement, there is no middle ground...the woman in the background is huge.. adn then what is the woman doing naked..? its a great painting, i've read so much about it, that i never noticed when i first glanced at it.
