[No jokes today. Fang's serious now, her eyes bright and focused.]

Just hang on. I'll get you two out.

Keep talking to her.

[Fang's eyes follow the direction Vanille points in, and she curses under her breath. For a moment, Bahamut stays still in mid-air.]

We've got no choice but to land nearby. Squeezing past that might end up with us injured. [That at least, is a risk she isn't willing to take.]

But then what...

[Thinkyface. And then IDEAFACE!] I know!

[She brushes her hand along the brand at her thigh, orange crystal materializing in her hand. She turns to Fang, smiles and waves goodbye.] See you down there! [With that, she leaps over the side, throwing her Eidolith to the ground ahead of her, casting a blizzard spell so it shatters when it hits.] Come on, Hecaton!

[Hecatoncheir's arms sprout from the earth below, and the Eidolon appears in a flash of light, catching Vanille in its arms, surprisingly gentle for something so large. Vanille cocks her head at the creature, aware of some difference from when she summoned it last.] Oh! You're a girl now? [This appears not to bother her in the slightest, and she jumps down, pointing at the rock that juts out a few feet above.] Can you give us a hand?

[Hecatoncheir moves forward, its many arms reaching out to grasp the troublesome stone, carefully pulling until it breaks away from the cliff face. Vanille points to a clear area to the side, directing her Eidolon to put it down out of the way, ( ... )

It's them? ( A question, because she isn't quite sure she believes it. Talk about dramatic bloody entrances, these two were gonna take the cake on that. )

What the shit-- ( The blizzard spell alone is strange, although at least she saw Paderau's magic more than once, it's not so very alarming. What follows, some bloody great monster with more - what were those, arms? - than she cared to count, that's a bit out of the ordinary, even for what she expects from here. A bit different, a little much. Not quite her cup of tea ( ... )

[ Although there's a whole lot of things happening right now, things that would most likely make Em shriek or just plainly judge with her angry French glare (copyrighted to her and all), right now, the poor woman is just trying to cope with the pain.

All of her muscles hurt and she feels like it's the most excruciating task just to breathe. A shot with a rifle from that close and in the stomach really is a slow death, and Em is trying with all of her might to not to pass out like Ellie had told her.

There's a groan when she's spoken to and she nods tiredly, turning her head to her instead, eyes barely open. ]

Yeah. I guess they can't. [ She pulls her bloodied hand from under Ellie's and places it on top of them instead, stroking her thumb idly other those bony knuckles of hers, leaning her head back and wincing at the pain. Although she is actually pretty good at not vocalizing it, she's clearly in pain, sweating and clenching her hand around Ellie's, her face a mask of agony. ]

[Fang follows after Vanille on Bahamut, and lands with a flourish. The ground rumbles slightly under the dragon's weight. She hops off and makes her way to Vanille, staring up at Hecatoncheir.]

So he changed too, huh? [She would discuss it further, but they are here for a reason, and she nods at Vanille.] You ready?

[An idle, lazy wave to Ellie and Emilia.] Good to see you two are still breathing, at least. [She addresses Emilia.] Hang tight. Vanille will get you all fixed up.

[Hecatoncheir's gender change is not so important to Vanille, so she just nods like it ain't no thang.] I'm ready!

[She trots over to Emilia, waving a cheery hello to Ellie. Whatever, she doesn't care if it's not the time. For Vanille it's always the time for cheer. :| She drops to her knees next to Emilia, assessing the situation, before smiling brightly and clapping her hands together.] I can fix this!

[She puts her hands over the wound, and some glowy magical shit happens and PRESTO! everything is fine. Vanille is a motherfucking pro.] There, all done!

( Seriously, she'd like to know what the Hell is wrong with Vanille. And as for Fang, she's pretty sure she's faking that to look cool, or else she has something seriously bloody wrong with her, too. She's startled and incredulous, but largely trying to keep calm because of the hideous wound, so she doesn't say much; just tenses up, bowing sort of protectively over Em and watching them both suspiciously until Vanille says she can fix it.

And, hey. She's seen magic, heard about it here, but it's still weird. She stares at the glowy magical wonderment and then pointedly doesn't look at Vanille, patting at where the wound was like she isn't convinced it's gone. Her hands are all gross and so is Em's shirt, but apparently the source of grossness is gone. )

Thanks. ( Very quiet. Very distanced, actually, because she's still checking Em, although she shoots a brief look at Fang before directing a question to Em. ) Hey. You okay?

[ Honestly, if Em was really herself (and possibly not dying), she would freak out at glowing magic shenanigans and the healing abracadabra going on. And also the gigantic robot-things, but she hasn't even had the time to register it.

She doesn't wave back at the two of them, too busy squinting her eyes shut in pain, but slowly, she can feel the wound close and it's both a gross feeling toppled with utmost relief.

There was a lot of blood spilled and she is still quite weak, nevertheless, Em is healed and she doesn't feel like she's about to die. She still feels like she's about to pass out and she's a bit feverish and pale, otherwise, she's fine. It's all good. ]

I-- I think so. [ She isn't sure of what she's saying, but she doesn't want to move because her whole body hurts like hell. She is still gripping one of Ellie's hand, but not as hard.

She reaches out to Vanille, but doesn't quite do anything, since her hands are all sticky and wet with blood. ]

I don't know how you did it. [ She doesn't really want to know, either. ] ( ... )

[Fang returns Ellie's brief glance. She's used to people finding her and Vanille odd for various reasons, their l'Cie abilities included, and is curious about, but unbothered by the scrutiny. She's more intent on observing Emilia and Vanille, making sure the former is all right.

She smiles a little at the gratitude, a faint quirk of the side of her mouth. While finding them odd is common enough, people expressing gratitude for their help is very rare. Not that she minds, of course, but it's good to hear all the same.]

Can you stand up?
