You stop at a stop sign near your house, and you see what looks like a fight breaking out. A guy shoves a woman hard in the chest. What do you do?

I sometimes think the general population is pretty damned stupid. Nothing reinforces that belief more than reading public forums like this one, where everyone is speculating about the meaning of the song "Yellow" by Coldplay.

Guess I'll be forever in the dark about that one...

Without googling to find out what these are (and if you don't already know), what would you guess the following things are?

1. aurochs (it's a noun)

2. gomphosis (also a noun)

3. Maremma (a proper noun)

This is the Halloween design I want REAL REAL bad right now.

Geez...I don't know what caused it, but I got very sick to my stomach last night and laid awake most of the night, alternating with fits of barfing. I couldn't call in sick (of course), so here I am. I feel fine, I've eaten a banana and it's stayed down...maybe I can leave a little early.

Mike was just making himself some sticky rice and infusing the cooking water with an orange habanero one of my coworkers gave me.
