Usually when it's known people have a reaction to the dye, they inject them with hydrocortisone. I take hydrocortisone daily, but this morning I took only half a tablet instead of my usual tablet and a half, because I hadn't any left with me (turns out I had a near-full packet in my bag, gah).
Also, the scan was at the Bons Secours hospital instead of CUH, because they're upgrading or changing or doing something to the MRI unit over there. It's possible the Bons uses a different dye in their MRI department.
