But, yes, this is absolutely important, and the internet is something that is so near and dear to my heart. I WILL STAND FOR THIS!!

I am in two minds about this. Neither is 'I'm European, it won't affect me' because a) it will and b) people aren't aware HOW MUCH PRESSURE the US is putting on Europe to follow this. We're not a stable place at the moment, we are very, very unstable and the pressure from US is the last thing we need but our governments WILL NOT STAND UP. Spain has already caved (god love the new government :|) and who knows who'll be next?

But I'm also very addicted to the internet and I need the internet to do my work and not go insane.

I'm also very addicted to the internet too, and this addiction is what is fueling my desire to do this (ironic, much? lol).

I certainly don't ever want to make you do anything that you are uncomfortable doing, promise!

It's not that I'm uncomfortable at all! It makes me so angry that the US government is pressuring European governments towards something like this (um sit down you have no control over what we do jfc ALSO HELLO YOU WOULDN'T EVEN EXIST WITHOUT US >:|||) but omg internet ;_;

plus i really do need the internet to work

OMG, I totally meant to comment on that part, and totally think it's wrong of us. I'm sorry that Spain has caved :( It makes me feel embarrassed to be living in a country that touts, "The Land of the Free".

AND OMG, I'm going to get so much shit for not checking and responding to emails tomorrow. And, trust me, I need the internet to school school work and my business work...it's going to be an interesting day tomorrow haha. I get about 20 emails per hour. OMG DNW 240 emails in my inbox ;;;____;;;

I support you on this! If it wasn't for the fact that I absolutely cannot function at work without the internet, I would participate (the fact that I can't makes me want to participate that much more, but, alas...)

Oh, yours totally makes sense. But, for your instance, I count not going on LiveJournal, Tumblr, and Twitter, etc (basically social media)! Are you in? :D

I'll do no internet other than that which is required for me to do my job -

So - only work e-mail, the SIS database (which is hosted in another city and accessed through web browsers), our university website, and websites that I need to go on to look up information for students.

Twitter, Tumblr, Personal E-mail, LiveJournal, Facebook, etc. etc. are out.

Yay, Liz! Thank you!! To be honest, I'm really sad that not more people are joining this or commenting. It's like...imagine LJ being gone, Twitter, Tumblr, any site that hosts screen caps...it'll all be blocked.

It would be like the government taking away MY right to talk to you, my friend if these sites go down.

Imagine how many times people go on google, wiki, and imgur...and tomorrow, when they can't, it's like a taste of what the future could possibly be like. OMG, no youtube. or Vimeo or whatever the hell that embeds.

12 hours of no internet is something I can definitely do. Alicia and I are reading Beth Revis's book that /just/ came out: A Million Suns! The first one was soooooo good :3

Thanks for your support, Liz, I was starting to become sad :(

LINK THIS TO YOUR JOURNAL PLEASEEEE <3

I'm afraid I'm not aware of what this all means...what is the strike all about?

(Chances are, I'll participate, but I just want to know more about it.) :D

Linking you to the two links I provided on my blacked out text is much more coherent than me explaining XD

And if you still don't get it, then I'll explain! ♥ I wouldn't want you to do something without being educated about it :D
