I posted a little New Year's party fluff that I wrote for the fluffy challenge as my first post in my LJ. I started it weeks and weeks ago, but the end of term and the Christmas frenzy got hold of me and I just couldn't get it ready to go until I had some time to relax. I'm trying to put more non-angsty Percy out into the world. It was fun to write

And it was so lovely. I really like your Percy and Penelope and the way they interact with Oliver. It's so hard to write people that we really only know as teenagers when they've grown up a little and get the right balance of them still being them and yet also having a little more maturity. I think you've managed this really well, especially with Percy, who's still distinctively himself, and yet not quite such a pompous prat as he used to be!
I love the way you have Percy and Oliver's little 'misjudgments' in parallel. I can just imagine Oliver's competitiveness causing him to want to make up for the deficiencies of age.
And Luna. Ah, Luna, who lights up any scene, was just the perfect person to cheer Oliver up. Red Quidditch shirts, and the funky owl... Wonderful.
It was nice to end with Percy and Penelope again. I liked this little interchange:
"She's going to drive me crazy, you know."
"I know."It says so much about Percy and Luna and the prospects of the budding romance with Oliver ( ... )

It was very exciting not knowing what to expect - I didn't catch on that it would be Oliver and then when he was introduced it made perfect sense.
And then LUNA! What a wonderful surprise.
"Well, it's not a joke Mr Wood." ROFL. And the Funky Owl - hilarious.
You obviously know Percy and Penelope very well, they are great together. And I think Luna is just what Oliver needs to make him feel good about himself. Reading this was a real treat.

Yes P/P is definitely my love ship! In my mind they are the ultimate in deeply committed. Thanks so much for reading and for the kind review!

I've read Moonette's Oliver story not long ago and thought yours was somehow connected to the problems he has there. But I can imagine Oliver wanting to succeed so very much he'd do almost anything. And lovely Luna is so delicious. She brightens up any story.
