Tolkien was right. “It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near him.” Maybe the dragon would be more amenable if the knight in shining armor made it a cauldron or two of coffee before waking it up. The advice seems to transfer to some humans, too.

I love the dragon imagery. Very fun and well written! My husband used to bring me caffeinated beverages in bed until I spilled several. Now he brings them to the bathroom like a carrot on a stick, lol.

This reminds me of my dad. He wasn't worth talking to until that first cup of coffee. He brewed it himself, though--he liked it strong enough to pour itself.
