Quinn let out a sleepy moan, scrunching her eyes together hard to try and fight the brightness that was coming in from outside. She moved slightly, trying to bury her face into the pillow more but the texture on her face felt all wrong. She cracked open her eyes her eyes, letting out another disgruntled noise, and saw hair... really dark hair. Was someone pulling a prank on her? Had someone dyed her hair in the night?
She stayed still as she thought this over. She definitely would have woken up if someone dyed her hair. Maybe they just put a wig on her to freak her out. Deciding that must be it, she went to lift her hand up to pull it off. Only her hand was intertwined with a hand that didn’t belong to her. She let out a shaky breath as she realized she was being stupid. She wasn’t even at her own house. She was with...
“Tina...?”
Tina herself was vaguely aware that it was light outside, but she was in no mood to wake up just yet. So when she felt something moving her, she simply buried her head into her strawberry scented pillow. Wait... strawberry?
Opening her eyes quickly, she was met with a mass of blonde hair that did not belong to her. That’s right, Quinn had slept over. They fell asleep in the living room, watching Buffy. And now they were cuddling, well, Tina was sort of force cuddling her. Which she had a tendency to do... according to Artie anyway.
Trying to wake herself up as quickly as she could, she untangled herself from Quinn and started to sit up. “Uh... g’morning,” she mumbled, sleepily.
Quinn could definitely say this was the first time she had ever woken up like this... But besides being a little freaked out it was also kind of nice. Or at least the 20 seconds of cuddling she had experienced had been. She forced herself to sit up as well and rubbed at her eyes, groggily. “Um, yeah. Good morning... Guess we fell asleep watching the show,” she said, motioning to the portable DVD player still open at the end of the futon cushion.
Tina yawned and stretched, taking her time before answering. “Yeah. I guess we did.” She suddenly let herself flop back down onto the futon, not intending to fall back asleep, but she didn’t feel like trying to keep her body upright. “Do you want to have breakfast here, or just head on home?” she asked, her voice muffled. She assumed that by now the streets had to have been plowed.
Quinn watched Tina curiously as she fell back down onto the mattress. Well okay then... Instead of doing the same she slipped out of the covers, slivering slightly as she left the warmth, and walked over to the window. Sure enough the streets were clear, except Quinn’s car was still sort of buried in snow. “Uh... I have to dig my car out. I should probably just go... Um, thanks for letting me stay though,” she said as she began looking around for her clothes. Shouldn’t this part of the ‘morning after’ only happen if they actually did stuff? Well she remembered they had kissed but that was it. It’s not like they threw their clothes off in wild lust. Dear God, why was she even having thoughts like this? Yeah, she definitely needed to get out of here to clear her head.
Tina shot up suddenly, taken aback by her answer. “Wait, really? You don’t wanna stay for breakfast?” Who wouldn’t want to hang out while someone else made breakfast for them? She stood up and stretched one more time before walking over to where Quinn was standing. “I make really good chocolate chip pancakes,” she said, as if that would easily persuade her. “Stay. Eat. And then we’ll get dressed and I can help you dig your car out. It’ll be fine,” she said reassuringly.
“That’s just a lot of work for you. Really, it’s fine,” Quinn said, gathering up her jeans and shirt. “I can help you bring the futon upstairs though if you want... I mean, after I get dressed. Which I am going to do right now... so yeah, be right back.” She found her sweater as well then walked off to the bathroom.
“I don’t... mind though,” she started to yell after Quinn before trailing off quietly. “I like making chocolate chip pancakes,” she said out loud. But really, she just hated eating breakfast alone, or eating along in general. She decided to stay in her pajamas and start to clean up the living room, taking the popcorn bowl and tin into the kitchen and gathering up all the candles. She was just folding up the blankets when Quinn returned.
“I told you I would help you clean up,” Quinn said when she returned and saw the living room almost back to normal. True there hadn’t been much of a mess in the first place but she still felt sort of bad.
Tina shrugged, and placed the blanket on the couch with the other one before tossing the pillows as well. “You can help me bring this back upstairs,” she said, leaning down to fold it over once, and pick up one of the ends and waiting for Quinn to take the other.
They made their way upstairs with it and managed to stuff it back into the closet in the guest bedroom. Tina stepped back and started to head back downstairs, trying again to convince Quinn to stay. “Are you really sure you don’t want to stay and eat? I’d appreciate the company.”
Quinn wondered if Tina knew she totally had this pathetic look on her face and that alone was enough to guilt her into staying. And then she said she would appreciate the company, like she was lonely or something. Quinn figured she must be pretty damn lonely if she wanted to spend time with her.
“These better be damn good pancakes,” was all she said in response. Why was she letting herself get guilt tripped by someone like Tina Cohen-Chang? Her life was seriously getting lame.
Tina’s face brightened up instantly. “Prepare to be blown away,” she said confidently. She happily bounded back downstairs and into the kitchen. “You can just sit at the table there,” she offered, pointing and then went to gather everything she would need.
Quinn rolled her eyes as she followed Tina. “You’re kind of annoying.” Oops. She had only meant to think that. “I mean...” Yeah, she had nothing to counter that with so she just sat down at the table and attempted to comb out her hair using her fingers.
Tina’s brow furrowed at the comment, but she didn’t turn around, and only said, “As long as I’m not Rachel brand annoying, I can deal with it.” She took out two pans, one bigger than the other, and held them up for Quinn to see. “Do you want a few small ones, or one big pan-sized one?”
Tina’s response made Quinn smirk slightly, but it was brief. She decided not to reassure Tina that she wasn’t ‘Rachel brand annoying’ and only answered the second question. “Uh, smaller ones.” Usually Quinn liked waffles better and worried that if Tina made one big pancake that the batter wouldn’t cook all the way and that would just be gross.
Tina shook her head and tsked once, but didn’t say anything. Who wouldn’t want a giant chocolate chip pancake? She began to prepare the batter, working quickly but efficiently, and letting a generous amount of butter melt on the pan as she went to grab the bag of Minichips.
As the first batch began cooking, she busied herself with getting plates and glasses. “Is 2% milk okay?” she asked. “We do have skim, but... why would you want skim?” she asked, making a face. “It’s my mother’s, of course.”
“I like skim,” Quinn said after a moment, a slight tone of annoyance in her face. “Plus, I shouldn’t even really be eating pancakes. Do you know how much fat is in them?” The weigh in after the holidays was always the worst. Coach Sylvester ordered a team wide master cleanse as soon as they got back to school to get rid of all the weight people inevitably gained from the holidays. It sucked. The less weight she gained the better. Therefore she would definitely be drinking skim milk.
Tina wrinkled her nose, but she wasn’t surprised. “Uh, I don’t really... care, all that much. I don’t get dieting, to be honest. I figure if you’re just smart about food and you keep yourself fairly active, it doesn’t really matter, and you’d be fine,” she said, leaving the plates and glasses on the table before rushing back over to the stove to flip the pancakes. “Don’t get me wrong, I have my days where I feel fat and stuff, but I’m usually on my period,” she said, matter-of-factly.
“Jesus, Chang, you ever heard of TMI?” Quinn said, wrinkling her nose as well. “And... well I can’t really afford to have fat days.” Last time that had happened she had ended up pregnant. She so wasn’t going through that again. “Besides, when I’m trusting people who are just as skinny, or even skinnier than me, to be catching me after I go flying through the air, it’s in my best interests to not weigh more than I should.”
“Prude,” Tina mumbled, under her breath. She figured Quinn had a point about that though. Being a cheerleader probably put her under all kinds of restrictions, especially regarding her weight. She remembered Mercedes’ crash course dieting when she’d briefly been on the squad. “Well, you will have plenty of time to work the pancakes off before school starts,” she said, taking the pancakes out of the pan, and moving them onto a large platter, before starting on two more. While they were cooking, she took out the two different milks and brought them over to the table, as well as silverware.
Quinn shrugged noncommittally and went back to combing out her hair, wincing every so often from a tangle. “They smell good.” She sort of felt obligated to compliment the cooking but she also was actually pretty hungry since they only had popcorn for dinner the night before.
“Thanks,” Tina replied as she finished up the last two. Bringing the platter over to the table, she had this strange feeling, like she was cooking breakfast for her boyfriend, or something. But... that was ridiculous. Quinn definitely wasn’t a boy. “Enjoy,” she said, brightly, waiting for Quinn to serve herself first while she poured the milk.
Putting pancakes on her plate and adding (only a little) butter and syrup she finally took a bite. “They’re good,” she said, though it felt like more of an reluctant confession. She wasn’t sure why she was so determined to not like the pancakes but apparently she had been and it turned out that Tina hadn’t been lying and the pancakes were really good.
She sort of tried, but Tina couldn’t help the slightly smug smile that crossed her face. “Thank you,” she said, sounding very pleased with herself. But honestly, she was pretty grateful for the compliment. Taking a bite of her own pancakes, she leaned back in her seat and gave an appreciative moan. “Glad you stayed, right?”
Quinn’s eyes went wide when Tina started moaning. Seriously, what was that all about?! Did she have to sound like such a damn porn star? It was only pancakes. Trying to distract herself from the little display across the table, Quinn turned her focus on her pancakes, concentrating as she chewed slowly. After probably too long, she remembered that Tina had asked her a question somewhere in between her food orgasm so she cleared her throat awkwardly. “Uh, yeah, sure.”
“I’m... glad,” she said, awkwardly after waiting an oddly long time for Quinn to respond. Unable to think of anything else to say, they sat and ate in relative silence, making an odd comment every now and then. When Tina was nearly done, she looked up and noticed a bit of chocolate on the side of Quinn’s mouth. “Uh... you have chocolate... right there,” she said, pointing at the same area, but on her own face.
Quinn licked at the side of her face that Tina was pointing to, however was actually licking on the wrong side. She thought Tina was pointing to the side the chocolate was on as if she were looking in a mirror but she was mistaken. After a few more swipes of her tongue she looked back at Tina, chocolate definitely still on her face. “Did I get it?”
At first Tina was amused, watching Quinn try to lick chocolate off her face, but after one too many flicks of her tongue, Tina just started to get kind of anxious. “Uh... no. I can..” she tentatively reached over and tried to quickly wipe the chocolate off her face. That wasn’t weird. No, not at all. Except she could definitely feel herself blushing.
Quinn held completely still as Tina reached forward to get the chocolate off and let out a breath she didn’t know she had been holding when she finally moved away. “Uh, I guess I wasn’t even close,” Quinn said, blushing slightly as well before licking where Tina had just wiped to make sure it was all gone. “Um. Thanks though.”
“Yeah, no problem,” she said, having to clear her throat. She finished up her food rather quickly after that, feeling the need to do something with her mouth. Waiting for Quinn to finish, she sat back and sipped her milk idly. “I can still help you dig out your car too, by the way.”
“If you want to,” Quinn said before finishing the last bite of her food. She didn’t move to get up when she was done eating though, and sat back to drink her milk as well. “So you do, um, cook a lot?” That was perfectly reasonable small talk, right?
“I’m not a great cook, but I help out during holidays and stuff. I’m better at baking actually,” Tina replied, shrugging. “And honestly, I don’t know why my pancakes are so good, just lucky I guess,” she said with a smirk. “What about you? Do you cook?”
Tina looked sort of weird smirking. Maybe Quinn was just taken by surprise by the expression on her face. Either way, she was sort of staring at her for a few moments longer than she should have before looking down at her milk, willing herself not to blush. “Oh. Um, I help my mom with dinner. So I’m alright. I’m better at baking too.”
Tina watched Quinn watch her, her smirk faltering. Thinking she was just imagining it, she also looked away. “Yeah... cool.” She stood up and reached out to take Quinn’s plate, “can I?” she asked, just making sure even though there wasn’t any food left on her plate. “So, I guess I should get dressed in something more useful for shoveling snow,” she said, her cheerful demeanour back in place.
“Oh, yeah, thanks,” Quinn said looking between her plate and Tina. She maybe felt a little guilty for not offering to take that in herself but she was the guest here, right? Maybe she could compromise though and bring in her glass.
She stood up and walked with Tina into the kitchen, draining the rest of her milk before setting it on the counter. “You really want to come out and face the tundra?”
Tina smiled. “Just let me get on some warmer clothes and I’ll be more than happy to help. I actually really like the winter. The cold doesn’t bother me that much, and... I dunno, I think it’s pretty,” she said, looking out the window, somewhat wistfully.
Stop thinking she looks cute, stop thinking she looks cute. “Do you believe in the tooth fairy too?” Jesus, why did she always have to ruin the moment.
“Huh?” Tina asked, not really understanding where that question even came from. She turned and gave Quinn a confused look, wondering if she was trying to make a joke, or just being mean for the sake of it.
“What?” Quinn said defensively. “You were just looking out there like it was a magical land and that Jack Frost was going to pop out any moment.” And you definitely didn’t look cute.
Tina shrugged, feeling self-conscience. “I just... like the winter. Anyway, I’m going to go get dressed,” she said, quickly making her way through the hall. “I’ll be back down in about five minutes,” she called back. After deciding on just a pair of black jeans and a hoodie, she grabbed her boots and coat out of the closet, meeting Quinn back in the kitchen.
Needing to do something so she wasn’t just left there to think about all these weird feelings she was having for Tina, Quinn put away the butter and syrup and finished cleaning off the table. She briefly considered starting the dishes but thought that would be too weird, so she obsessed with cleaning up other little things downstairs that they hadn’t gotten to before.
Quinn was in the middle of smelling one of the candles Tina had forgotten to gather when Tina came back downstairs. She set the candle down suddenly then moved to get her boots on. She probably should have been doing this the whole time. Oops. “Uh, hi again.”
Tina watched Quinn put on her boots and glanced over at the candle she’d just been sniffing. “Raspberry,” she said suddenly. “That’s the raspberry candle I bought for mine and Artie’s first date,” she explained. She didn’t know why, but she just felt the need to tell Quinn all about it. “He cooked. It was really sweet.” And it had been, but that had been a long time ago. Still, she wanted Quinn to know. “Anyway, should we get going?”
Why the fuck is she telling me this, Quinn thought as Tina explained the candle. Wasn’t it already bad enough that they had stopped kissing last night because he called? Wait... why was she thinking of this as a bad thing? It was a good thing. Who knew what could have happened if Artie hadn’t called. Thanking Artie for inadvertently bringing her back to her senses, she pulled on her coat, mittens, scarf and jacket then nodded at Tina. “Yeah let’s just get this over with.”
“Fine,” Tina replied, leading Quinn to the garage. Opening it and grabbing two shovels for the both of them, she handed one to Quinn. “Here ya go,” and walked out to where her car was parked. “Um, I guess we can just move the snow from around it, and then make a path out onto the street,” she suggested, pointing it out with her hand. “Obviously, we don’t need to do the entire driveway. I’ll just do that later,” she trailed off, talking more to herself than to Quinn.
“Yeah, that’s fine. Uh, I’ll start over here...” Quinn said, wading through the snow until she was on the driver’s side. “We can probably leave the snow around the front, since I just need to go backwards...” she trailed off then started shoveling.
“Yeah...” Tina agreed, simply moving around to the passenger side. She got straight to work, and for a while, they just worked in silence.
Tina really hated shoveling snow. Even though she liked the winter, shoveling snow was the most tedious chore. After about five minutes in, she was already taking small breaks just to get the kinks out of her back. She looked over at Quinn, hard at work, and smirked. As payback for her comment earlier, Tina bent down, collected a decent amount of snow in her shovel, and purposefully tossed it in Quinn’s direction, and lowering her head immediately afterwards, trying to hold back her laughter.
“The fuck, Chang?!” Quinn yelped as she received a shovel full of snow to the face. Brows furrowed, she bent down and packed together a snowball before stumbling around the side of the car and throwing it at Tina. She hoped Tina would be too distracted by her laughing to notice and move out of the way.
Tina was still laughing to herself when she was pelted in the chest with a snowball. Looking up suddenly, her smirk widening, she dropped her shovel and bent down, gathering snow in her hands, and ran around to the other side of the car, tossing it at Quinn. “You’re asking for it now, Fabray!” She was still laughing as she bent down to get more, knowing Quinn would be exacting vengeance.
Quinn moved to run away except it was sort of impossible to do in the deep snow. Instead, Tina pelted her in the back and she fell forward against her car. She took a moment before slowly turning around to rest against her car, finding herself trapped. “Don’t you dare throw any more snow at me.”
Tina almost felt bad for Quinn as she stood against her car. But she already had the snow in her hands. She smiled, a little too sweetly, as she walked up to Quinn, and dropped the snow over her head. She was still laughing, and leaned forward. “That’s what you get for getting sassy with me earlier.” But there was no malice in her voice, and she even reached forward to brush some snow out of Quinn’s hair.
Quinn let out a gasp, half from some of the snow sliding down against her neck and half because Tina was really close. “I guess I’ve learned my lesson,” she said quietly, a little dazed.
Tina stood there, staring at Quinn, when she was suddenly struck with an admittedly crazy idea. She didn’t really know why she decided to do it, but she must have been somewhat conscience of it, because she took a second to look around first, before leaning in to kiss her. Quinn’s lips were cold, and she was very aware of the fact that they were outside and anyone could see them, but she didn’t let that stop her.
It baffled Quinn how she had went from being extremely annoyed with Tina to making out with her, but that didn’t stop her from continuing to kiss her, even deepening the kiss slightly. Very aware of how cold it was, Quinn reached out a hand to wrap it around Tina’s waist and pulled her closer. Her brain was just on auto-pilot and she kept kissing the other girl even though it was probably a terrible idea.
When Tina wasn’t shoved away, like she had been expecting to be, but was even pulled in by Quinn, she raised both of her arms and buried her hands in Quinn’s hair. She closed what little space Quinn had between her and her car by pressing her body up against hers, hard. Feeling like she was perhaps getting a little too aggressive, she stopped the kiss suddenly. “Sorry,” she said, trying to catch her breath.
Breathing surprisingly heavy for how short their kiss had lasted, Quinn opened her eyes (when had those closed?) and looked back at Tina, wide eyed. “Um, it’s okay.”
And surprisingly, it was. Quinn thought she must be losing her mind because when had it become more than okay to kiss Tina? Except it was... As if to prove something to herself, she leaned forward and pecked Tina on the lips before pulling back, blushing.
Tina couldn’t help her smile as Quinn kissed her back, lightly on the lips. She’d said it was okay. It was okay that Tina Cohen-Chang was kissing Quinn Fabray, outside of her house, after spending the night together, even though it hadn’t quite been like that. She returned the kiss, drawing it out slowly before pulling back and leaving a smaller peck on her bottom lip. “Uh... do you wanna finish this?” she said, gesturing to the snow they were supposed to be shoveling.
After blinking a few times, Quinn just nodded and slowly unwrapped her arm from around Tina’s waist. “Yeah, I guess...” It was really hard to focus. After a few more moments though she was able to speak again. “Um, maybe you can get off of me?” It sounded a lot dirtier than it actually was.
“Oh yeah,” Tina said, chuckling lightly. She backed off and offered Quinn another smile before going back to her side of the car and getting back to work. Although now she was also distracted, and keep peeking over the car at Quinn every so often. She was in something of a daze as she worked, having to tell herself several times that she was not, in fact, dreaming. Nor was she in a mental hospital, and hallucinating the entire event. Which was a weird thing to consider, but this was Tina.
They still worked in silence, not as awkward as before, but not entirely comfortable. Tina was just trying to get the job done, hoping she’d get another chance to kiss Quinn before she left. When Tina shoveled the last bit of snow out of the way, she looked at the path they had created. “That should be okay, right?” She asked, feeling awkward, and looking over at Quinn, wondering if she felt the same.
Quinn nodded as she looked down the driveway and the snow free buffer around her car. “Yeah, this should be fine,” she replied a little awkwardly. As they had been shoveling, she replayed the past 24 hours in her head. What kind of alternate universe had she been living in? It was oddly awesome though. Wait, what?
“Well, I guess I can drive home now,” Quinn said after a long silence.
Tina had the sudden urge to dump all the snow back into the path they’d created, but that would have been kinda crazy. And she didn’t want Quinn to think she was insane. “Yeah,” she said, moving closer to her. She didn’t quite understand what was going on between them, but she knew the kissing part she liked, a lot. Maybe she was just caught up in the moment, but when she thought about it, she realized she’d lied to Quinn the night before. Kissing girls was much, much better.
“So. I guess I’ll see you after Christmas,” Quinn said slowly as Tina walked closer to her.
The thought sort of made Quinn depressed, which was a really weird thought to be having. When they had been assigned to each other for the Glee assignment she had sort of been dreading it. But now what she was dreading was the end of Christmas vacation.
Things definitely couldn’t be the way they had been when school started again and quite honestly Quinn wasn’t ready for whatever this was to end just yet. She had no idea what was going on between them but for the first time in a while she actually was interested. Ever since the whole Finn and Puck thing, she was fairly sure that all the relationships and hooking up that happened in high school were overrated. Maybe she was more than okay with this because she knew she couldn’t get pregnant. Wait. That thought was special. And slightly messed up.
“So bye then,” Quinn said, swallowing hard.
“Oh... okay then,” Tina said, feeling a little embarrassed, and gently taking the shovel from Quinn, pretending that’s why she’d walked up to her to begin with. She supposed she shouldn’t be too surprised. This entire thing was kinda crazy and random. “Bye,” she said, trying not to sound too disappointed. Maybe if she just tried to give Quinn a quick kiss, she’d go with it. But she’d suddenly lost all the confidence she had only about ten minutes ago. Instead, she decided to stand back and let her leave.
She tried to tell herself that it was only two days, and then they’d meet up again, and anything could happen. She didn’t know if she had genuine feelings for Quinn, or if she just enjoyed kissing her. It wasn’t like how it had been with Artie. They didn’t click. It didn’t feel like they’d known each other for years. They didn’t have many common interests outside of Glee. They could hardly ever agree on anything. But Tina felt like maybe she had something that Quinn needed, and she wanted to give it to her.
Tina looked like a pathetic puppy and not at all like the sexy girl who had pushed her against her car. Quinn paused a moment to reflect on that thought. Since when had Tina become sexy? Quinn hated the way she dressed, thought she wore too much make-up, and really didn’t understand the streaks of color in her hair. Maybe that whole ‘confidence is sexy’ rule was actually true. Except she had definitely worn the pants in her relationship with Finn and she and been attracted to him.
“Are you going to keep pouting until I kiss you again?” Quinn asked, rolling her eyes.
Tina looked up suddenly. “Yes,” she said, smiling and completely contradicting herself. She happily bounded over to where Quinn was standing, using her one free arm to wrap itself around the other girl’s waist and pull her in for another kiss. Her mood suddenly lifted.
Quinn kissed her back for a few moments before pulling back, smirking. “I thought I was supposed to kiss you. Eager much, Chang?” It probably didn’t help Quinn’s case that she was staring at Tina’s lips almost the whole time she had been talking.
“I guess I sometimes get a little over enthusiastic,” she said, giggling. “You can still kiss me though, if you want.” She pulled back slightly, still smiling and keeping her hand around her waist. She bit her bottom lip in anticipation, and also giving Quinn something to look at. Since she was concentrating so hard on that area.
“Maybe I will,” Quinn said before leaning in to kiss Tina, nibbling slightly at her lower lip to take over for her as it seemed she liked that. It was kinda hot too. Definitely hot enough to distract Quinn from the fact that this was the second time they kissed out in the open like this today.
Tina smiled into the kiss, returning it eagerly. Taking the opportunity she was given when Quinn opened her mouth to bite her lip, Tina managed to slip her tongue inside Quinn’s mouth, running it along her tongue, slowly. She dropped the shovels in her hand into the snow so she could bring her other arm around and pull Quinn closer to her. Her confidence rebuilding.
It had been a long damn time since Quinn had kissed anyone like this that it took her by surprise and she gasped into Tina’s mouth. Plus Tina was getting all hot and aggressive again. It kind of scared her how much she was getting into this so after a few more moments of sweet indulgence she pulled back and gave Tina a shy smile. “Well I better go before my mom thinks I got buried alive or something.”
Slightly disappointed, but understanding, Tina nodded and stepped back from Quinn a little. “Okay. Yeah, that’s... you don’t want her to worry,” she said, a little breathless still. She removed her hands from her waist and grabbed the shovels before walking Quinn up to her car. “After Christmas then? We should probably try and actually get some work done,” she said, jokingly. To hell with the project, honestly. They could easily wing it. But she didn’t want to come right out and say, “Come over after Christmas and we’ll make out more.” Though she hoped that, that’s how it would go down.
Quinn nodded and fished her keys out of her pocket, fumbling with them a little as she tried unlocking the door. Her brain was still a little jumbled from kissing Tina apparently. “Yeah I’ll call you once all the Christmas madness is over. So, um, I’ll talk to you later then,” she said, giving Tina another shy smile before opening the door and sliding in.
Tina backed away from the car, making sure she trip over the large pile of snow behind her. “Okay. Bye,” she said, returning the smile and a small wave before Quinn pulled out of her driveway. When her car was completely out of sight, she practically skipped back into the garage, putting the shovels away, and deciding to take care of everything later. When she was inside, she quickly made her way up to her bedroom, tossing her coat on the stair railing and hapharzardly taking off her boots as she climbed the stairs. As she threw the door to her room open, she hopped up onto her bed, and smiled at the large Dita von Teese poster on her wall.
“Thanks.”
