This entry is being posted from Google Chrome.

So far, it is a beast, especially since I have a dual-monitor setup.

Here is a comic book all about Google Chrome, drawn by Scott McCloud:

I would love to try it out, but alas the beta is currently Windows-only and they won't let me download the Windows version to try running under Wine or self-compiling, as they insist they're 'working on' a Linux client.

=( Ah, too bad. It's taking up about 1/2 to 1/3 the processing power firefox was, the way I use it, and the functionality is great.

I've managed to download the Windows client and Wine it... It boots faster than Firefox, and it looks very clean, but it responds to commands slower (possibly due to the fact that, you know, I'm running it through a compatibility layer rather than natively executing it).

I'm waiting to see what the native Linux client is like before I pass judgement, though. :)

Don't quite get it - and can't find a Mac version.

They just came out with the Windows Beta today. It's a really, really slick browser and it's a lot less of a memory hog.

How many pages is that comic? And why isn't it funny? Heh. Anyway, looks interesting, but I may refuse to use it. Google is slowly taking over the internets, and the world. I'll keep my old poky Firefox for now.

The ability to use a search without actually navigating to the page is really awesome though... you should try it.

Hmm. Well, maybe, but what did you mean by a "beast" though?

It is doing everything I have ever thought of asking a web browser to do and a few things more and it is taking up less memory than previous browsers to do so.
