Alright. So I'm thinking of posting regularly after this coffee and chat thing on Sundays, which I've gone to in the past, and just last week started going to again. From what i've read, Predestination is not really a belief that everything is planned out in life for you, but rather the belief that a person is chosen whether he is elect, in heaven, or not. So if they person is part of the elect, then the inner goodness in him is shown through his good works rather than his want to get into heaven. Then if one does not act good but eventually changes its not due to his desire but rather because he is truly part of the elect and it is beginning to show.

Ahh, thank you for that clarification. I guess what we were going for was more along the lines of a destiny set out for you, but not exactly predestination. That concept is very interesting in and of itself. I feel as if it is kind of a way to have human choice in who is elect, for there is the loophole in how one can be revealed as truly part of the elect.
