When you quit smoking, for a couple of months it is going to always occupy your mind. Thoughts related to smoking, and thoughts related to your quitting effort. For me, though, distracting myself isn't always the answer. Sometimes, it's more helpful to just recognize I want to smoke. I choose not to. Acknowledging it, for me, gives it less power and the intensity of the wanting loses power.
