90s shows

Netflix has some 90s shows. When I was a teenager in the 90s, I didn't get to watch a lot of the shows that I wanted to because there were seven people living in the house who also had shows that they wanted to watch. So I've been revisiting some shows, like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Fresh Prince, and Party of Five. Party of Five was the one ( Read more... )

My big kids and Andrew watch Smallville, I can't stand it! I didn't watch it when I was younger either, though. It's like an instructional video on how not to do relationships, no one trusts each other, they all lie to 'protect' each other, etc. For a while, I deconstructed it all with them but they've got the message by now, and they are tired of hearing it.

I remember liking Party of Five, but I didn't catch it every week. I should see if Andrew can find some old 90210 episodes, my sisters and I watched all of them. Oh and before that 21 Jumpstreet, that was really good (at the time, it'd probably be hilarious now)

I could never get into Smallville either, haha. I think that maybe I remember the dialogue being really bad? It's been so long!

" I didn't think that Giles was hot when I was a teenager, but now that the character is maybe ten years older than me instead of 30, I can appreciate his hotness a lot more."

We are re-watching The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and Beakman's World (except in that case, I'm the only one who watched the original episodes).

With the girls we've been watching Fresh Prince, I never really watched it, it was on because we only had 3 channels but I'd never paid attention and it's still good.Dawson's Creek isn't 90s but it's high school for me and something I'm also appreciating much more as an adult.

X-Files is the big one though, it was to 'scary' for me when it originally aired but I'm super into it now. I also never got the appeal of David Duchovny until now.
