Now that I've finally ceased being in motion, I will likely crash quickly, but I did want to do an update of sorts.

On the personal front:

Today was my last day at my job.  I totally feel like I could keep working, but not with the stress of having Christmas, Home, and Baby related things to do and such a long list of each at that.  If it were just ( Read more... )

Thanks! I am VERY pleased with the results. We finally have a closet in the dining room that I can use for things like all those cake plates I seem to own and the Table leaf :-)

That is an AWESOME job. It really goes well with the original look of the house! And you already have a nice porch...I covet.

Whose '67 Mustang is that?

That porch is a future project...someone thought just pouring some quickcrete to fill in a dip was a good idea...and it was once covered in indoor/outdoor (we guess, you can see the glue marks, anyway.) We plan to resurface it so that it doesn't flood when it rains and add a railing of some sort :-)

The Mustang is Ben's :-) It's been floating around his family for like...20 years now or something?

Nice car. I have a '65 I've had since 1987, but it's in far far far far far worse shape. It used to be my daily driver, but not anymore.

Thanks! I was having a hard time visualizing the end product, especially upstairs where I didn't have a great concept photo to look at :-) But I think Ben is VERY pleased as he's said it turned out better than what he originally envisioned. So that's good!

Thanks - it's really coming together. I worried about how there were only two windows in the room, but it's really a very nice, light space!
