Because a coworker is using her vacation days, I have taken on working extra days. I should have a day off in a week or so. Nothing is set in stone though. I started the apprenticeship on Tuesday. By Wednesday night, I was setting up the piercing station, cleaning up afterwards, putting in jewelry (if someone came in because the ball in their CBR popped out, I put in the ball), writing up tickets for tattoo artists, answering the phone, and generally being the go-to girl for everything. As of Monday, we are no longer paying a monthly rental bill. Now it's a mortgage! After hunting for the perfect house for over a year, it's still sinking in that this is now all ours. Tomorrow the professionals come to help us move out. We have already taken roughly twenty big boxes of stuff over there. There's still so many little pieces and bits around the apartment. We are moving. Really! The owner of the condo has purchased a house and is already living there. Instead of paying for the condo and the house while we wait to get the last necessary paperwork back, the offer was made for us to move into the condo and treat it as a rental until we can make the purchase. The most recent closing date for the condo was February 10th. Well, we are still sitting pretty in our apartment full of moving boxes. Hopefully the last bit of paperwork will be finished in a week or two and we can set a new closing date. I got the entire week off of work. I still feel terrible. I wonder if the pills I was perscribed for my cough are doing anything at all. Tom is already feeling fine. I play video games and watch movies not for entertainment but so that I stay awake. I have a deep, gravelly voice. Stupid sickness. Get out of my body.
