I got home today and my boyfriend was sitting on the couch in front of the TV with his belt hanging open and his belly pooched out, declaring that his diet is off to a bad start because they had a barbecue at work and he ate three burgers, chips, several cokes and cake in addition to the foot-long sub he had for lunch ( Read more... )

Wow, you really have found the right guy. Three burgers alone would finish me off, especially if they're not the thin fast food type...but three burgers, cake, chips, and a foot-long sub...impressive. I can guzzle a lot of pop, but I'm accustomed to diet stuff except when I buy root beer. Today I was happy to find that I'll be able to get Tab around here.

If I overeat, it goes right through me. My new "experiment" is to pay attention to my hunger and see how much I eat if I only eat when hungry, not when bored. It's sad it's come to this...having to train myself only to eat when hungry. Still, that overstuffed feeling I had tonight, even though I just had a large can of baked beans, wasn't really that pleasurable.

You have a great attitude by not forcing your guy to do anything unhealthy. But the way he's going, it looks like you're going to have to send him to the gym our to do some yoga or something! Then, once he gets into an exercise routine, he can eat guilt-free until your heart's content :)

As for me, I bet (hope) I've gained 10 lbs in the last 2 weeks! My honeymoon has been awesome, and very filling :D

You make a very good point. I've decided not to gain myself, even though I had planned on putting on 20 lbs just to see what it was like. While I didn't plan on exercising very much (I like the softness), I was going to do stretching and back exercises...when I was heavier, my back was the main problem I had.
