The Root has a nice little interview with Chairwoman of the Congressional black caucus Barbara Lee on white privilege, media responsibility, and the problems with the way America talks about race. The kind of thing I would pass on to friends and family who are skeptical about the whole 'privilege' business

Maybe it's because I've been doing too much applying for businessy jobs lately, but that last line sounds an awful lot like what most businesses want from their employees: "Team Player." Do your best to make sure everyone is contributing to the best of their abilities, and the whole company flourishes. Sabotaging coworkers might make you look better, but it puts them in a worse place to contribute (and less likely to want to), and makes the company as a whole not do as well.
