I'm actually very fond of the abstract system from the Great Pendragon Campaign, as all the prior Economics rules have been fundamentally broken. It was too easy for a player-knight to become extremely wealthy with just a few lucky die rolls. Book of the Manor appears to extensively revise things, which is a good thing. Sadly, due to my lack of finances, I shan't be acquiring either book (or Merlin's Company) for a very long time. Does make me want to start up a new campaign, though.
