You said to stay and fight. Every day, all the time, to fight to love to be with each other. To iron them out and to crease them back together, to not lose anything, to not lose me. But you're tired now. To keep you I say less, but you still leave anyway.

And I thought I knew what pathetic was before. Self pity, self depreciation, self absorption. I never knew I could feel this pathetic. They have just done to you again. I never thought I'll hear someone say this with such sincerity, pain and love. Her words dug into my head, leaving me to wonder if she was a slave to the idea of love.

I don't know if you've ever felt like that. That you wanted to sleep for a thousand years. Or just not exist. Or just not be aware that you do exist. Or something like that. I think wanting that is very morbid, but I want it when I get like this. That's why I'm trying not to think. I just want it all to stop spinning.

Her name was Corie. She was 5 foot standing, eyes wide opened and always in your arms. She was obnoxious and pleasing, slow to tempers. Her fingers fitted right into yours, her coldness a liability. "You keep me warm" she had said.

But some things just can't be warmed.

I need routine. I like to keep myself busy, because at least I have an excuse to say I have somewhere I need to go. I never liked the feeling of aimlessness.
