The New England Steampunk Festival at the Charles River Museum of Industry & Innovation is this Saturday, May 1st, from 10-4. There will be live music, Victorian dancing, sword fighting demonstrations, a fashion show, a raffle, lectures, and face painting. CBS Sunday Morning did an interview with Neil Gaiman that aired this past Sunday, and they used footage from his book signing at Worldcon back in August to show what some of his fans are like. Guess who shows up in her mad scientist's brain-hat at about the 4:15 mark? BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! :D

I'm on two panels at Arisia this year: "Torchwood: What Now?" Saturday at 2:00pm and "My Fandom's Not Dead Yet!" Sunday at 11:00am.

The flight out of O'Hare was four frickin' hours late departing, but I finally made it home. For once it really wasn't the weather's fault -- there was a problem with the first plane, and they needed to get a part, but apparently the part didn't work so they had to scrounge up a whole new plane. :P ( Read more... )
