Excellent, very excellent :D Loved the mystery of what was going wrong with Atlantis, and that poor John was the target of all the problems. wonderful whump, as I do love a story in which John is whumped throughout rather than all the whump saved for last. And great John and Rodney banter. All in all, well done. well done indeed :D

Thank you! =D

I like spreading out the whump too. I think it makes for a more interesting plot because the whump can cause unforseen complications, which can in turn lead to more whump. ;)

Great story. I really like to see Sheppard and the ATA gene issue explored and you did that very nicely with this plot. The pacing was good and built well towards solving the mystery. I enjoyed the infirmary scenes with Carson and John, and Rodney's concern for his friends. There was a good blend of h/c throughout the story.

Thank you. I actually outlined much of this story on paper before I started writing it, which I haven't done in the past. While I didn't stick with a lot of the outline, I think it still helped to keep things moving, so I didn't drill too deeply into one scene and only write a vague paragraph or two for another. In short, I think I'll be trying my hand at outlining again. :)

Thanks for reading! :)

Awesome! I LOVE stories that feature John's ATA gene and Atlantis connection and this was a great one! Wonderful job of building the mystery and the danger, as well as John's discomfort. Characters were all spot on. Rodney/John interactions were particularly fantastic!

Thanks! I'm glad you liked it! :)

I would have liked to see more in the show about Shep's gene, and the workings of the city itself, and I always thought there should have been more episodes related to/taking place underwater (SeaQuest, anyone?) so I had a lot of fun exploring that with this story.

Also, when I start writing an SGA fic, John and Rodney pretty much become these two incessantly bickering voices in my head, so my muse usually doesn't have much trouble finding the snark. ;) Thanks for reading!

Great story! I was totally intrigued by the mystery of what was affecting Sheppard. The ZPM battery throwing off his usual connection to Atlantis was a very cool concept. I loved the jumper crash and the headaches, and then his attempts to get through the fog of the ZPM batteries. Such great whump!

Thanks! =D

As the plot started building for this one, I kept having this image in my mind of Sheppard staggering down a hallway, lights exploding all around him, while trying to outrun a tidal wave. While those parts turned out a bit differently in the final story, that was what led to the idea of his gene being amplified, which led to everything else. I'm glad it ended up being an enjoyable read for you. :)
