My class tonight went SO WELL! I am so excited for the coming weeks. They may not speak 'Common Mandarin' but if I do well, they will hopefully be able to break through the migrant Chinese worker stereotype... Okay, that is a bit grand, but atleast I now have motivation for learning Uighur and Tibetan...

Tonight is the first night of my ESL for migrant workers class. I am stoked and nervous, because most of the students are street cart vendors from different provinces and I am worried about communication (one student is from Xinjiang, and I have no clue how Uighur works!!!) Pray for me!
