I remember the full-time-dr-appts thing. Are they NST-ing the heck out of you now?
You are more prepared than you think to have an infant living with you. Infant will be wanting: boobs. Diapers (but really, the infant doesn't care about those, you do), and a good car seat. The rest is gravy. Go easy. And go out to dinner and to the movies at least once this month, k? Do it for me. ;)
Don't worry, we got the movie thing covered. We just saw a movie last night in fact. Will fancies himself a movie critic so it is one of the ways to keep him happy (if mildly grumpy since his critic name is The Grumpy Critic). We already have offers of babysitting we hope are not just hot air to go see a couple of different movies we want to see in December.
They are indeed NST-ing me twice a week now. I don't mind those too much, and the nurses in charge of it are friendly. It is the visit to the doctors office with the nutritionist, then therapist (how are you holding up with this GD thing anyway?), midwife and GD doctor followed by my regular OB appointment where they have me do a bunch of the same things. Sorry, the second appointment does not get a urine sample too. I gave at the other office.
My concern with being prepared as much as I need is that Will was panicking about getting ready, and when everyone told him to chill because we did not need to baby proof the house right now, he stopped doing anything to get ready. This

December seems a likely time, also you *might* have a child like my first model, who, if asleep and with boob at the ready, would sleep through a short movie in the sling.
The Grumpy Critic can help you move stuff out of the way!!! I totally get needing to feel safe. And you're nesting. Which is super normal. I think I scrubbed the oven the last month I was pg with Rose. Possibly for the last time ever.
I may be able to offer a few evenings after work (from about 5:30 pm to 8:00 or so) to come keep company and help you shift the things you cannot lift. Tuesdays are always booked for me, but any other weeknight evening is negotiable. Email is ceolyn@gmail.com, drop me a line and maybe we can work something out. :-)
(Of course this assumes that that time frame works for you... I'd offer a weekend day but I'm trying to get some family visits in before things explode with Burning Man prep.)
I can lend a hand this week Wednesday or Friday evening. Next week I'm free Monday or Thursday evening. If any of those (or more than one) fits your schedule please let me know and I'll be happy to come over for a few hours to help.
