For those of you who didn't already know: I had a motorcycle accident on Wednesday afternoon on my way home from work.
I'm doing okay and am healing up at home, but thought I'd put down the full story for my memory's sake and the curious types.

Cut for massive length. Includes pics. )

holy shit this entire post just scared the fuck out of me um gee. god.

ok well i guess i can start by saying it's a godfucking miracle you're okay now and that you're fucking smart and prepared by wearing your bike gear and notwearingshorts and god all those meds and x-rays, i would have gone straight up the wall.

canadians, canadians, canadians. hopefully by now those drivers have drowned in the niagra falls, choked on maple syrup or

gotten beaten to death by ellen page or angry hockey players?

welp, that's about all i know about canada.

that cast looks bitching heavy though. it is also sort of bitching that you have stainless steel in you, part-steel alchemist.

anyways, keep us updated on how you're doing! i'm sorry to hear the accident happened at all but it's great to hear you're feeling better and that your injuries aren't permanent.

GET BACK IN CONTACT SOON, don't make me think you fell down the stairs and couldn't get up. >: (

Gack! First off, YAY for Kevlar! I shudder to think of what you'd be like without all your gear. *big and careful hugs* Next, I laughed at SaucepanRah - my condolences you won't be part aircraft. Also rage at inattentive drivers and relief that you came through as well as you did (memories of all the horror stories from mom the nurse and dad the orthopaedic surgeon). It's great that sights_aligned will be there for you. Finally my wishes for your speedy recovery. <3 :D

): <3! You've been in my thoughts since Langu told me what happened. Glad it wasn't worse, and I hope recovery goes as smooth as possible.

instead of part aircraft, I am part saucepan.
No, no dude. You are part armor, not saucepan. 8D That's as awesome as part aircraft.

I'm sorry to read about your accident I hope you get well soon. For me, your story hits close to home as my brother in law is a motorcyclist too.

oh god, i was horrified when lang told me about your accident. i am so glad that you made it through w/o any damage to your neck/spine/brain. it definitely could be a lot worse and i love the strength, bravery and courage that i feel from this post.

i also chuckled at your part airplane/saucepan metaphors. its nice to see that you still have a sense of humor after your ordeal. of course, it was quite sad/scary when i read the other half of your post.

i'm glad that all the nurses there were very nice to you (cause imma be a nurse. :P) and lol at all the canadians. i wish the lady who hurt you so badly will get her license revoked and be banned from stepping onto Australia in the future.

you and lang are in my prayers, and i pray for your speedy recovery (which i wont doubt seeing how lang is about to launch herself from canada to take care of you <3)

get well soon! i think i'm going to send you some get well gifts :D
