Clark kissed his closed eyes, stroked his hair until the shuddering subsided a little. "You can do this, Bruce. I know you can. You'll stop if you hurt me. I know you will."

The wind lifted Superman's hair slightly. He held out a hand. "I came to ask you to go with me."
