The Raiders have confirmed the release of JaMarcus Russell to the Associated Press.

“We will release Russell today,” a team spokesman said. “We wish him well.”

...he somehow finally pulls a rabbit out of his hat inside the second two minute warning and pulls an Elway-style comeback after starter Charlie Frye gets concussed.Too bad it didn't happen last week as well...

Though not a squeak has been heard about it from Mount Davis,he'd be wise to let the Griefs or Donkeys take a chance on him,because JaMarcus is still a far better gamble...
