It is snowing outside. I came home from work to find the car coated with perfectly formed snowflakes. I love it when I can see so many perfect little hexagons, flat and shimmering. The lights from the streetlamps catch the facets in the crystals and make them twinkle like stars ( Read more... )

I stayed up until 2am last night. I haven't picked up a brush in months, but I knew that I wanted to give my friend a painting for her birthday today. She has always been my cheerleader when it came to my art and has always expressed a desire to "own an original". That cracked me up. Woke up early to do the following:

Dance class
Sign paperwork with soon to be ex-husband
Attend a calligraphy meeting to see old friends
Work on my fabric art projects
Work on a collaborative art journal

Hopefully I will have a little time to myself afterwards to play in my art journal. I haven't connected with that part of me in quite a long

Splitting headache. Need more sleep. Would like to do art than sleep, but I don't think my body can take it.
