I've never read an NCIS fic before, but wow, did I love this. You really set a mood, and I could feel the intensity of their attraction. I also loved the grenade metaphor. You packed a lot into so few words.

The grenade metaphor was kind of the point of the fic. A friend created a community called no_safety_pin after reading a quote the writers wrote about Tony and Ziva. "It's like juggling a grenade while trying to put the pin back in" and the community is a challenge to write about Tony and Ziva's explosive relationship, so yeah.
