I always recommend The Second Coming to people when they want to watch more Chris stuff. Steve has some slight elements of Nine so you get that sense of familiarity.
My answer to this question was a 6-way tie - I can't make decisions, apparently - but Steve and Nine were two of my six.
In some ways, Steve is like the flipside of the Doctor. The Doctor wonders how people can get around in those tiny human brains; Steve knows that he has a tiny human brain and that there's so much it can't grasp.
And yes, if RTD had not cast him in The Second Coming, he never would have volunteered to be the Doctor.
Have you seen the UK version of Queer as Folk, written by RTD? Did you know that CE was in the running for the role of Stuart? That would have been mindblowing.
