Counting Crows came out with a new studio album on Tuesday, for the first time in almost six years. My taste in music has expanded a lot since then, since Counting Crows was my absolute favorite band ever, so I was really, really hoping I'd like the new album as much as previous ones. Wednesday was my last day at work. It's weird knowing I won't be going back there. Here's a painting I started more than two years ago, while I was still in school. I didn't get it quite finished before I graduated, and didn't get back to it for ages. I spent my last two Fridays at concerts. It just worked out that the two concerts I've gone to this year were on consecutive weekends. The Friday before last, I saw Modest Mouse in downtown Kansas City. I really enjoyed it, though from my experience I don't know that I'd call them a *great* live band.
